L3Harris Technologies has received an undefinitized contract from Lockheed Martin valued at more than $6 billion, excluding escalations, to expand propulsion production for the THAAD missile defense system. The contract covers seven years, the company said.
L3Harris plans to build a facility for THAAD solid rocket boost motors and expand capacity for its liquid divert and attitude controls. The award follows a framework agreement with the U.S. Department of War announced earlier this year to quadruple THAAD propulsion production.
