A pioneering freight drone service between mainland Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly is to be extended to see how it can benefit islanders.
First trialled last December, the unmanned aircraft project between drone firm Flylogix and The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group, will see a drone aircraft fly between Land’s End airport and St Mary’s several times a day carrying up to 20kg payload. During the first trial, the drone carried gin, rum and flowers from the islands to the mainland.
