SEOUL, April 15 (Yonhap) — The state arms procurement agency said Tuesday it has picked drone jammers for tanks as part of an accelerated weapons development program in an effort to better counter unmanned aerial vehicles.
With the designation, the weapon system will undergo about two years of research and development and be deployed on a trial basis starting in 2028, according to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).
